I think I may get to go to the Boston date. Fingers crossed. I haven't seen MM since 2010 which is distressing.

Also, we should totally meet up.

yes!

well this completely makes Boston Calling unnecessary!

edit: just reserved a hotel room for this!

all in all i am pleased. for far less money, I get a full MM show and 2-3 BtS. definitely winning.

Yes, i now wish i wouldnt have purchased a three day pass to boston calling. Cooperstown is closer to me, and also cheaper for tickets. It would be cool to catch them in cooperstown on the way to boston, but it wouldnt really be practical. Also, Built to spill is playing in my town on the same weekend, so i kinda got unlucky.

Edit: Any suggestions about this whole tour mess would be appreciated.

I am assuming no refund policy? That's why I always get the hotel first, they can usually be cancelled.

You're not screwed other than having to lay out more $. Once the festival sells out, put the ticket up on Craigslist, Stubhub, etc for a reasonable price and someone will buy it.

I dont know man, i might have to just skip cooperstown and go to boston. My parents arent to savvy (since im under 18) at using the internetg, and most likely won't like the craigslist, etc. idea. Plus, the only reasons they are letting me got are:

My birthday in late may

They understand how much i love this band

And its a chance to get a short little weekend vacation with the family.

Oh well. By the way, is there a difference between songs modest mouse tends to play at a festival compared to a gig?

right on. i'm a tad older than that so...

the main differences are festival sets are shorter, and tend to be chock full of the hits/more upbeat stuff.

BUT Modest Mouse doesn't always fit the bill, and you may actually get a bust out or something at a festival set. For example, a lot of times, they'll refuse to play Float On. I would be stoked to be going to either. I am just trying to limit spending since my friends like different music and I generally dont have people sharing costs.

just ordered my Ommegang Brewery Ticket! i ordered a camping ticket because the venue said they're only selling about 1000. going solo may be more fun that way too.

the whole outlook on today got better just knowing i am the proud new owner of a MM ticket.
