Covers

Anyone else making any MM covers. Seemed like a hobby to some a while back. Covers or not, it would be nice to hear some more songs, poems, and visual art being posted.

I made another cover of the Sweater jam. The words come in about half way. If you decide to listen, thanks!

Hey Dani, thanks for the Deutsch shout-out. I make weird music, so I always appreciate any positive input.
I always enjoyed hearing other people's music on Mod Mouse, so I'm hoping more people get back to making music here. I liked the remixes you posted. It's too bad they didn't dub some more vocals in, as in stars are projectors remix. I really liked the rainbow stars-and-bars with the hammer and sickle background.
On a side note, I stayed in Kaiserslautern for a week when I traveled around Europe a few years ago. I love your country. If I had a choice to live in any country, I'd probably pick there. Anyway, thanks for the input.

This was a cover I did of Dramamine I did last year when I was sitting around bored in my apartment. I've done numerous covers of Modest Mouse songs, was even in a cover band where we covered Tiny Cities, Trailer Trash, Dramamine, and She Ionizes. Though those recordings are not on youtube. Sadly enough, or maybe not sadly enough. My vocals on those songs were shit.

Great cover. I like how you used the loop pedal. You are a talented guitarist. It must of been difficult changing the time signature from a 3/4 to 4/4. Try programming your drum machine to 3/4 or 6/8 and it might be a little easier for you ;) Anyway, thanks for posting a cover of MM.

It was different to say the least. Felt a bit speeded up, but that added to its coveriss-ness...if that's a word? I haven't quite fiddled with the loop pedal enough to see if I can switch it to 3/4 or 6/8. It still came out great, thankfully. Haha.

Here is a cover I did of "Polar Opposites" in my room. Love this song so I had to make a cover of it.

Wow guys, these are all pretty damn cool! I've done a nasty cover of float on and another of trailer trash and an even worse spitting venom. if I can find them i'll put them up, but be forewarned, I'm terrible :)

I literally recorded this twenty minutes ago and just uploaded it. It's a more dedicated version than the Dramamine I played, though the end gets into a bit of a sloppy jam. The strings on my brother's guitar are rusted and it was slightly painful playing.

I found this video not long ago, dont even remember putting it up but here is Deja Morti covering Dramamine http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tbl9G7rE ... ata_player
I'm not sure why but it cuts out right at the solo.

Thanks a lot for sharing, I enjoyed the sound! I used to make covers and mixes as a hobby, too, but I was hopeless and I gave up on it since music is not my field.

I recorded a cover of a song from the Rayman soundtrack on the PS1 mixed with Talking Shit by Modest Mouse.
